4 Stars out of 5

Starring: Ezra Miller, Sasha Calle, Michael Keaton, Michael Shannon, Ron Livingston, Maribel Verdú, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot

Director: Andy Muschietti

DC’s latest superhero movie, The Flash, featuring Ezra Miller as Barry (The Flash), was released in theatres in India in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and English formats. As expected, the Movie is not in 3D Format, but in standard 2D Format.  The movie has a runtime of 144 minutes. Moviegoers had mixed reviews about the movie, somewhat leaning toward the positive side.

Plot

The movie starts with a mission, where Wonder Woman, Batman and Flash tries to stop a bank robbery that goes wrong. As usual in every mission, Flash is treated as a Janitor, who clears the garbage in the end, which leads to his frustration. Later, Barry wants to save his father, who is undergoing a trial for murdering his wife. Barry learns that he has the power to time travel, hence tries to go back in time to save her, despite being warned by Batman. Barry moves to the past, and this act alters the timeline and leads to many changes in the Multiverse. In the meantime, he finds the existence of mankind is at threat due to the Kryptonian attack. What happens next? Does he prevent his mother’s death? Can he save his father? Will he find Superman? And Who is Kara Zor-El (Sasha Calle)?

Strengths in the Movie

The Flash, has a fine, fast-paced storyline and is packed with many nostalgic moments, At no point will you feel bored, the story is gripping and a treat to the Fans. The movie has good comedy and Ezra Miller as Barry (Flash) has delivered a perfect performance especially while conversing with Batman and his younger version. Michael Keaton is back as Batman after a long hiatus of Three decades, with stunning performances. The Batman Bikes, Car, and Batplane are a treat to watch for all Batman Lovers.

Weakness

The Movie is not perfect but mostly on the plus side, some feel that the director has made a kichadi of the file by bringing almost all superheroes in Multiple versions and a mix between timelines and Multiverses. Well the Noodle logic of Batman seems slightly odd to many

But overall a Good Movie to watch with family and friends and definitely you will blow whistles on seeing batman in action along with Flash.

I give the movie 4 Stars out of 5
